Croquet for Cancer

Whether a casual or more-seasoned croquet player, swing your mallet with the THRIVE Foundation in this familiar, family-friendly game. Have a “wicket” good time and support the Penn State CARE Center’s comprehensive, whole person care initiatives for adults with cancer.

The THRIVE for Life Foundation will wrap up its fundraising season on Saturday, October 7, 2023 with its signature Croquet for Cancer Tournament on the sports fields of the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center campus. This event keeps the “fun” in fundraising.  Teams of two players compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards, and for the highly coveted top fundraiser trophy. Create a team with friends, family or colleagues, give it a memorable name, and get your mallets ready to strike!

The Croquet for Cancer tournament brings people together amid the beauty of the fall colors to share in the CARE Center’s vision to enhance the lives of adults diagnosed with cancer. In its first two years, the Croquet for Cancer tournament has raised approximately $40,000 in support of the CARE Center’s comprehensive, whole-person initiatives.

There are two pathways to register and participate.

Your generosity inspires hope and courage, particularly for those confronted with a cancer diagnosis, its treatment
and the road to recovery. We pause to honor each of them, their caregivers and the healthcare team members entrusted with their care. May they–as well as each of us–fully embrace the gifts of generosity that enable us to THRIVE …  for life, for good!
